With the Guinness PRO14 Final Series approaching ever closer the pressure is rising and the quality of rugby on display only seems to get higher.

At the weekend there were huge wins for Munster, Glasgow Warriors, Connacht and Ulster, who are all confirmed as participants in the Final Series.

Bonus-point wins also arrived for Scarlets, Ospreys and the Toyota Cheetahs as the tries flooded in – here are our pick of the bunch.

Alby Mathewson – Benetton Rugby v Munster Rugby

What a way to decide a compelling match this try was, as scrum-half Alby Mathewson touched down late on to seal a scintillating bonus-point win for Munster.

Benetton, chasing a Guinness PRO14 Final Series spot, had had the better of the first half but Munster were superb after the break, culminating in this wondrous score.

Man of the match JJ Hanrahan cut a beautiful line attacking in the Benetton half, scything through the defence before giving Mathewson an easy dot-down to win the game.

Rob Baloucoune – Edinburgh Rugby v Ulster Rugby

What a season this young Ulster wing is having – Robert Baloucoune is number two on our list of top tries of the week.

That it came in one of the most important games of the season for Ulster is relevant, and in the style in which it was scored even more so.

When the ball comes out to the wing he has much to do, producing an outrageous step around full-back Darcy Graham and then displaying superb pace to beat the cover.

Sam Johnson – Leinster Rugby v Glasgow Warriors

At number three we have a try in a third game of tremendous importance, this time for Glasgow Warriors at fortress Leinster.

Just 15 minutes into the game and with Leinster leading, electric scrum-half Ali Price takes matters into his own hands and bursts through a ruck and into the opposition half.

A sublime offload to Sam Johnson follows, the centre turning on the pace to make it to the line and throwing in a good dose of muscle to fend off Ross Byrne.

Kieran Hardy – Scarlets v Zebre

At number four is Scarlets man Kieran Hardy, who touched down in the big Parc y Scarlets win over Zebre.

The telling break comes from the always-dangerous Johnny McNicholl, followed by a backhanded offload to Hardy, still in his own half.

No problem for the replacement scrum-half though, who goes in and out all the way to the corner while looking like he’s barely breaking sweat.

Louis Fouche – Toyota Cheetahs v Dragons

Down to the southern hemisphere for try number five and it’s touched down by Cheetahs man Louis Fouche, who contributed to a big win over Dragons in style.

With the score at 24-13 heading into the final minutes the gaps are opening up in the Dragons defence and through them the Cheetahs pour, with Fouche running the perfect support line to apply the finishing touch.
