There may have been no Guinness PRO14 action this weekend but the advent of European rugby saw several sides from the competition pick up positive Champions and Challenge Cup results.

Connacht recorded an impressive victory over Montpellier in Galway, while Leinster continued their imperious start against Benetton and Munster secured a bonus-point triumph over Ospreys.

Elsewhere, Edinburgh won in Agen and Ulster defeated Bath at The Rec, while Dragons, Scarlets and Cardiff Blues all clinched victories in the Challenge Cup on Saturday.
