Prop Mohamed Haouas was red carded for striking Ritchie in the first half of Scotland’s Guinness Six Nations encounter with France on Sunday. And it’s hard not to wince when you see the picture of Haouas connecting with a right hook as Ritchie’s nose crumples, not to mention Gael Fickou tackling the Scot to the ground fractions of a second later.
