**It just won’t be the same in Dublin next season. Fergus McFadden, one of Leinster’s greats, is hanging up his boots this summer and ending a trophy-laden 13-year career.** The 33-year-old, who has played centre, wing and full-back for the current Guinness PRO14 champions, has made 184 appearances, scored 29 tries and earned 34 international caps since making his debut against Cardiff Blues in September 2007. Now, McFadden believes the time is right and with Leinster the current kings of the PRO14 – and enjoying a supreme season before the league’s suspension – he’s certainly going out at the top. “They say the best time to leave a party is when you’re still having fun so the time has come for me to announce my retirement from the end of the season,” he said. “It’s hard to put into words what a privilege it has been to have had such a long career playing for the team I grew up supporting and pulling on a green jersey to play for my country. It has been a dream come true.”
