Two of the best flankers in the league go head to head on Friday night when Sean Reidy and Olly Robinson face off. In boxing they say that styles make fights, and these two back-row’s contrasting skill-sets should make for a fascinating showdown. Both have worn the No.7 shirt for all three games so far this season but Reidy is a ball-carrier and a fearsome tackler, equally capable across the back row. And this season he is leading the way in the league for tackles with 46, has still found time to chip in 26 carries with ten defenders beaten and even three clean breaks. No forward in the entire league has managed more than Reidy’s three clean breaks and the Blues will have to be on red alert in Belfast on Friday night as a result. But in their own ranks they have Robinson, a more traditional 7 who has become the chief ballhawk in the league over the last two years. Last season he led the entire league for turnovers won and this year he has started like a train. His jackalling ability is so well-positioned, so hard to shift, that he has already snaffled opposition ball six times in three games.
