Round 2 is in the books and as the conference tables start to take shape, the protagonists have given their lowdown on all seven matches. SCARLETS SHOW THEIR CHARACTER Perhaps the most enthralling game of the round came on Friday night, as Scarlets raced into a handsome lead in Glasgow before the Warriors came roaring back and left the Welshmen clinging on to a 25-21 triumph. And Scarlets head coach Brad Mooar was ecstatic to see his side pass the character test. “We left a few points out on the field, but what it did give us was an opportunity to show our character,” said Mooar. “There was a real want by the players to player for each other and defend that line at the end. “I thought our defence all evening was outstanding. We created opportunities through our line-speed, our maul defence was strong and then the heart we showed on the line was just outstanding. “The group are enjoying playing for each other and I am loving watching them.” Great result for us last night. Boys showed immense character. Good to have this old team mate with us. @JuandreKruger5 #stayon #Godisgood pic.twitter.com/76a8dodkdP— Werner Kruger (@kruger_werner) 5 October 2019
