**Ospreys continued their rebuilding job this week by tying down prop Nicky Thomas from Bristol Bears.** Thomas becomes the second Bears player to make the move across the River Severn ahead of the next Guinness PRO14 season, following full-back Mat Protheroe in making the switch to south Wales. After progressing through the Ospreys academy when he was younger, Thomas has played for a number of clubs in both the English Premiership and Guinness PRO14, including Gloucester and Scarlets, before making the move to Ashton Gate. But with only three Premiership Rugby Cup appearances this year Thomas will be returning back home for the 2020/21 season, what can we expect from the prop? If nothing else, passion. A move back home looks to have rejuvenated Thomas, with both the prop and the team looking to put this past behind them next season and kick on going forward. To be given the chance to return to your home region isn’t something every rugby player gets to do, and judging by his comments after signing for Ospreys, Thomas is keen to make the most of his opportunity. "There is unfinished business for me with the Ospreys,” Thomas said. "It feels like a new era, a new chapter for the Ospreys, it is an exciting time to be returning home, and this is something I really wanted to do, play for the Ospreys “It’s like there is a line in the sand has been drawn, with a new head coach, Toby Booth, and Mike Ruddock being involved. I know it has been a tough season there, but for me this is just an exciting challenge.
