While a series of testing challenges remain, however, Leinster’s 11-point cushion means they would have to suffer a remarkable nosedive in form if their Conference A hegemony is to be usurped.

Centre Garry Ringrose’s return since the Rugby World Cup has represented a considerable boost for Cullen’s side, scoring twice in the recent win over Connacht and gaining the most metres on the pitch for his team – 90 – in the process.

And while Ringrose’s invaluable presence in the midfield will be paramount, the role of the likes of Rhys Ruddock, Tadhg Furlong and Cian Kelleher looks to be similarly central to the reigning champion’s chances.

What’s the must-win game?

While an 11-point gap at the top of the table arguably makes no contest a ‘must-win’, that’s not to say there aren’t several enticing fixtures that will undoubtedly shape Leinster’s run to the play-offs.

And it’s the final game of the season away at Ulster that appears the most mouth-watering at this stage, with Conference A’s two stand-out sides going toe-to-toe under the Kingspan Stadium lights.
