**Happy International Men’s Day everybody!** November 19 is the day to celebrate the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities, and a chance to raise awareness of men’s well-being - both physical and mental. In fact, the whole of this month is a time for highlighting the struggles a lot of men face in life, with the Movember movement back in full force. The charity, which started with just 30 ‘Mo Bros’ back in 2003, has helped fund over 1,250 projects linked to men’s health over the last 17 years, including suicide prevention and work on testicular and prostate cancer. One in eight men in the UK will get prostate cancer in their lifetime, while nearly 2,500 will be diagnosed with testicular cancer this year, but Movember aim to reduce these figures over time, and raise awareness of the issues faced by men everywhere. The movement also encourages men to open up and talk about their mental health, with the sad reality being that as a global average, one man takes his life every minute. The charity has done some amazing work all around the world, while also encouraging men to sport their finest facial fuzz throughout the 11th month each year. The Guinness PRO14 is no exception, with top lip ticklers all over the shop, as rugby’s finest get in on the act. This year the plaudits have to go to Paul Asquith, with the Scarlets man already displaying a furry fiesta after just a fortnight in last weekend’s victory over Connacht, let alone the whole month.
