**Duane Vermeulen will make his first South Africa appearance since the 2019 World Cup when the Springboks continue their Rugby Championship campaign against Australia on Sunday.** Vodacom Bulls number eight Vermeulen joined the Springboks squad before the start of the British and Irish Lions series but is yet to play due to an ankle injury. Steven Kitshoff, Frans Malherbe and Bongi Mbonambi form a new-look front row, while Cell C Sharks wing Sbu Nkosi has replaced the injured Cheslin Kolbe. In total, there will be nine United Rugby Championship players in the South Africa starting XV, with a further three on the bench.
