Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons has called on his side to take their home form on the road as they prepare to face Treviso at Stadio Monigo in the RaboDirect PRO12. Solomons’ side has been making impressive strides of late and while they slipped to a narrow 9-3 defeat to Ulster at Murrayfield last time out, they had won four of their last five at home. Their last two away matches have resulted in narrow defeats and on both occasions against the Scarlets and Connacht, Edinburgh have collected losing bonus points. Saturday’s clash is also likely to be a tight affair – the two sides have met on seven previous occasions with the Scotsmen having the slight edge by four wins to three. Edinburgh are boosted however, by the return of Scotland internationals David Denton, Matt Scott – who fills in at outside centre – and Alasdair Dickinson although Dougie Fife is out injured. "It's great to have them back, they are excellent players, and I expect them to make a big contribution on Saturday,” said Solomons. "Matt [Scott] has played 13 before. He's an explosive and powerful player and has all the attributes to do well there. "I feel that he and Andries [Strauss], who captains the side in place of Mike Coman, will form a really effective partnership. "When a side is evolving and developing like ours, you find your form at home, with all the advantages that it brings. That's where you tend get your results early on. "As we are improving, our form on the road has been better, but I do feel that if we have a good performance we are capable of getting a result. "I would like to see us take that next step and do that on the road.” Treviso meanwhile, have lost their last eight matches in all tournaments and have not scored a try in the RaboDirect PRO12 for 266 minutes, since Leonardo Sarto crossed against Ospreys on February 16. Captain Antonio Pavanello makes his 200th appearance for Treviso alongside Corniel van Zyl in the second row while Alberto De March, Lorenzo Cittadini and Leonardo Ghiraldini comprise the front row. In the backs the only change sees Angelo Esposito move to the wing with Luke McLean as full-back, while in the James Ambrosini and Tobias Botes start at half-back. At Stadio Monigo, 7pm local time (6pm UK & Ireland).
