With derby day victories under their belts, Cardiff Blues and Dragons will both be looking to lengthen their festive joy in Round 9 of the Guinness PRO14.

The Blues began the season with victory over Isuzu Southern Kings but then went on a run of four losses in a row.

However, they have recovered with three victories on the spin against Toyota Cheetahs, Benetton Rugby and the hard-fought win against Ospreys.

Dragons ended their recent run of poor form with a last-gasp triumph against Scarlets, thanks to a Sam Davies drop goal.

A close encounter will be expected though, as the Blues claimed a 19-16 victory in December 2018.
