Gregor Townsend believes his Glasgow Warriors side will be determined to put on a show in front of a sold out Scotstoun as they look to overturn a 12-point deficit in the 1872 Cup. Edinburgh came away from the first match with a 23-11 GUINNESS PRO12 victory at BT Murrayfield and will look to pick up another win as they bid to retain their title. But Townsend has other plans with Ryan Wilson set for his 100th appearance for the club after keeping his place at blindside flanker. Elsewhere Sean Lamont replaces Tommy Seymour on the left wing while Taqele Naiyaravoro is on the right and Stuart Hogg continues at full-back. The Warriors have lost just one of their last 25 home games at Scotstoun in the Guinness PRO12: 10-16 to Scarlets in round one this season. Townsend will send out a tweaked side from the one that was beaten in Edinburgh with Duncan Weir also getting the nod ahead of Finn Russell and Ali Price coming in for Grayson Hart at scrum-half. Jonny Gray will also return for Glasgow and Townsend is confident his players will respond to adversity. “A number of players who featured last weekend have been given another opportunity and they will be determined to put in a much better performance this weekend,” he said. “The game has been sold out for a couple of months and this is a game our supporters really look forward to. “It will be a special day for Ryan (Wilson) who makes his 100th appearance for the club. He always gives everything for the jersey and thoroughly deserves to join our centurions club.” Edinburgh's only away victory in the Guinness PRO12 this season came on their first trip, to Treviso in September, while they have not achieved a season's double over their fiercest rivals since 2003/04. But Edinburgh hold the 1872 Cup having themselves come back from a ten-point deficit after the first leg 12 months ago. For Alan Solomons there are two changes for the decider with Damien Hoyland coming into the starting XV in place of Tom Brown while Ben Toolis takes the place of brother Alex. And John Hardie, who claimed the man of the match award last time out, is sure the match will be another intense battle. “It was up there with test match rugby, it was really physical, probably the most physical game I have had with Edinburgh,” said Hardie. “I looked up at the clock thinking there were 40 minutes played and there were only 15! “I'd back ourselves, it's going to be tough and they are going to come out firing. They've got great players across the paddock and 12 points doesn't take much. “But we're going out there to win, we can't just go there and defend and hold on.” At Scotstoun Stadium, 5.15pm.
