Italy must feel like a second home for Leinster, who arrive in Parma for their fourth Guinness PRO14 contest defending a pretty special record in Bel Paese.

The defending Guinness PRO14 champions have suffered just one defeat to an Italian opponent since 2010, and even then Benetton conquered them on Irish soil.

They also arrive at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi with a shot at history. No Guinness PRO14 side has ever started a season with a maximum 20 points and Leinster, as well as Toyota Cheetahs, are chasing that on Saturday.

Leinster have made several changes, including a first start for wing Cian Kelleher since his return to the club from Connacht.

James Tracy makes his first start of the season at hooker, while Ross Molony joins captain Scott Fardy in the second row.

Zebre have lost each of their three games this season but they have been boosted by the return of ten players from the Rugby World Cup. Six of them start, including fly-half Carlo Canna and wing Mattia Bellini.

With two tries from two games, Mattia Bellini returns from the World Cup razor sharp and well-rested, with Italy’s final game against New Zealand cancelled due to Typhoon Hagibis.

Zebre will relish the extra speed and quality he brings out wide, as they look to pose an attacking threat against the reigning champions.

Across from him, Cian Kelleher has a point to prove. Re-signed from Connacht, the wing is set for his first start in his second spell and – with Leinster’s own World Cup players due to return to action shortly – he has a small window in which to show he should be starting.
