Coming off the back of defeats in Round 4, both sides in this Saturday fixture will be looking to overturn setbacks after the Toyota Cheetahs lost narrowly at the hands of Connacht while Scarlets were convincingly beaten at Edinburgh.

A major milestone beckons for wing Steff Evans, who will make his 100th appearance for the Scarlets on Saturday, after missing last weekend’s 46-7 defeat to Edinburgh through illness.

Evans replaces Tom James on the wing and Kieron Fonotia starts in the midfield, hooker Marc Jones and lock Steve Cummins are recalled to the starting XV with Ed Kennedy due to make his first appearance of the season.

Prolific hooker Joseph Dweba is set to play his 50th match for the Toyota Cheetahs while George Whitehead is due to make his Guinness PRO14 debut from the bench.

JP du Preez and Sias Koen have both been moved into the starting line-up, Boan Venter starts as loosehead prop and Louis Fouche replaces Dries Swanepoel, who has been suspended for three games.

Meanwhile Blommetjies put on a fine display in Galway last time out and recaptured some of the form which saw him sign for Scarlets – he will be hoping to put on a show against his former side.
