Scarlets have had a dream start to the Guinness PRO14 season but it won’t be all plain-sailing on Saturday evening as they take a trip to Edinburgh.

Brad Mooar’s side have three victories from the first three rounds but they head to BT Murrayfield to face a side who have won two of their matches this year.

If Scarlets were to beat Edinburgh, it would be the first time they’ve secured four wins in a row since November 2017, but Richard Cockerill’s steadfast men will be in determined spirit to bounce back from a 40-14 against Leinster in round three.

Winger Eroni Sau is set to make his debut for Edinburgh following his summer move from Perpignan, while Scotland’s Blair Kinghorn also returns to the starting XV after returning from his Rugby World Cup exploits.

Scarlets have made three changes to the side who beat Zebre last time out, with Ioan Nicholas set to make his first Guinness PRO14 appearance of the season, coming in at centre for the injured Paul Asquith.

After returning from a disappointing Rugby World Cup for Scotland, Blair Kinghorn will hope to get his campaign with Edinburgh off to a bright start. The giant full-back had an exceptional 2018-19 in Guinness PRO14 and Scarlets will have to be at their best to counter his elusive, powerful running game.

Last time out Kieran Hardy was at the centre of Scarlets’ attacking display, scoring two tries, the first of which came inside two minutes. Hardy has spent time away from Scarlets at Jersey Reds but has come back in determined mood to shine in Gareth Davies’ absence, a task he has more than succeeded at in the first three rounds.
