Scarlets skipper Ken Owens insists his side are desperate to make up for the errors in Dublin against Leinster last weekend when they host Benetton Treviso in the GUINNESS PRO12.

The 42-12 beating followed hot on the heels of a 32-32 draw with Ulster on the opening day of the season, meaning the Scarlets are still without a win in the league this season.

The good news for Owens and his men are the Scarlets are unbeaten at home since Harlequins were the visitors in the European Cup in January, while the only Italian side ever to win at Parc y Scarlets was Treviso in this equivalent fixture two seasons ago.

And after an honest exchange of opinions following the problems in Ireland last time out, Owens is confident of correcting those wrongs against the Italians.

"We had an honest conversation among ourselves as a squad and, the boys have reacted positively," he insisted.

"They have put their hands up and everyone individually has gone to the coaches and asked what they need to work on and asked for help as well, which is a good thing.

"No-one has hidden away at all this week.

"At times it was pretty brutal, but what we have got to have as a squad to move on is that honesty among each other.

"The boys have responded well in training. They have accepted their errors, worked on them and hopefully we can move on this weekend against Treviso.

"You have just got to be straight with the boys. We spoke a good game among ourselves leading up to the Leinster game and we just didn't deliver.

"This week we owe a big performance at home to get our season back on track.

"We let ourselves down, we let the coaching staff and management down and we let the supporters down in Dublin."

Benetton Treviso have slipped to five straight defeats since their 45-27 victory over Dragons at Stadio Monigo in April, they at least have not been held try-less in any game since they visited Munster in March.

Scarlets did the PRO12 double over Treviso last season, reversing the trend of 2012/13. Scarlets have won four of their five previous fixtures against Treviso at Parc y Scarlets in all tournaments.
