Nicky Robinson helped himself to 14 points as the Cardiff Blues stormed past Welsh rivals the Ospreys in the Celtic League table with a 10-point victory at the Arms Park. With the lowest-ranked Welsh side missing out on a Heineken Cup spot next season, things are getting tight as the Blues find some form at the expense of their mis-firing Neath-Swansea rivals. Glasgow centre Alan Bulloch opened the scoring in the 10th minute, finishing off a break from halfway by No 8 Jon Petrie, but the Blues hit back through the pace of exciting young winger Johnny Vaughton and a superb sideline conversion from in-form fly-half Robinson. A short-range penalty goal from Robinson gave the hot favourites the lead for the first time as visiting lock Andrew Hall found himself in the sin-bin after a professional foul, but Bulloch stunned the home side with another long-range try, and Glasgow entered the halftime break with a 14-10 lead. The lead lasted barely a minute as Vaughton grabbed his second and winger Nick Walne went over the try-line, and Robinson secured the bonus point before the hour mark with an individual effort.
