**There may not be any rugby to watch at the moment but that does not stop the news coming thick and fast, whether from the Guinness PRO14 or the international game.** Today’s Media Watch begins in Ireland where, in [an exclusive interview with Extra.ie](http://extra.ie/2020/03/31/sport/rugby/ross-byrne-johnny-sexton-displace), Leinster out-half Ross Byrne has revealed his desire to claim the No.10 jersey for club and country. The 24-year-old has often found himself behind teammate Johnny Sexton in the pecking order but enjoyed a strong campaign before the Covid-19 outbreak brought the season to a standstill. Byrne was particularly impressive at fly-half while Sexton was on the sidelines with a knee injury and he insists he is not content with just waiting for the 34-year-old to finish up. And while former teammate Joey Carbery previously swapped the blue jersey for the red of Munster to enhance his career, Byrne says it is [an option he has never considered himself](http://extra.ie/2020/03/31/sport/rugby/ross-byrne-transfer-switch). Staying in Ireland, the BBC reports that it is looking increasingly less likely the national side will be able to play their scheduled summer Tests against Australia due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Ireland were due to play two Tests in Brisbane and Sydney in July but Rugby Australia chief executive officer Raelene Castle admits the matches [are “highly unlikely” to go ahead](http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/52092407). Meanwhile, the British & Irish Lions are confident next year’s tour to South Africa will not be impacted by the rescheduling of the Olympics in Tokyo. The Lions will face the Springboks in three Tests next summer and while the dates coincide with the rearranged Olympics, [the Daily Mail reports](http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-8169219/British-Irish-Lions-unconcerned-South-Africa-series-clash-rearranged-Olympics.html) that the matches will kick off in the evening to avoid clashing.
