We start Tuesday’s media watch with news of another new signing in the Welsh regions as Sale Sharks No.8 Sam Moore moves to Cardiff Blues with immediate effect.

Following the trend of players qualifying for both England and Wales to lean more towards the Welsh route – see Nick Tompkins and Louis Rees-Zammit – Moore is another case.

The 6ft 6in 21-year-old is a former England U20s star and son of former Blues man Steve Moore, and was a member of Eddie Jones’ 2018 Six Nations squad as an apprentice.

Speaking of the small matter of the Guinness Six Nations, rumours are that Andy Farrell’s squad to face Scotland will be named this afternoon, with the Belfast Telegraph reporting that Conor Murray is to be preferred to John Cooney.

Cooney has been in stellar form all season long for Ulster, but is Farrell going to go with the tried and trusted Murray-Sexton axis?

Moving from Ireland to Scotland and Finn Russell, the man who managed to finally steal away many of the rugby headlines from Saracens.
