We start the Media Watch with some long overdue good news for the Ospreys.

It would appear that their head coach role is about to be filled, and by none other than former Wales head coach – and Grand Slam winner in 2005 – Mike Ruddock.

The rumours continue to swirl surrounding Allen Clarke, but the club have confirmed that Alun Wyn Jones and George North will be available for the derbies after Christmas.

Over in Ireland, Munster are hoping to get Joey Carbery back on the pitch before the New Year.

But they have registered their disappointment at Edinburgh’s innovative, if highly dangerous, tactics on the goal-line last Friday.

Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed that there will be additional seating in place at Thomond Park for their massive European double header against Saracens.

Leinster’s young guns have carried them to an unbeaten start to the new season in the league.

And coach Felipe Contepomi admits there are some big calls to be made all over the pitch when it comes to selection for Europe as a result.

No such problems for Ulster, who have confirmed that their big boys will be back for the Harlequins double header.
