Glasgow Warriors and Cardiff Blues might no longer be conference rivals but after playing out a thriller last year, their meeting in round three of the Guinness PRO14 has all the makings of another classic. Both teams managed five tries, with John Mulvihill’s outfit having to settle for two losing bonus points in the end from the encounter. The Blues winger went over twice in the first half, but his side trailed 24-14 as Nick Grigg, Ali Price and Peter Horne all crossed for the Warriors. Owen Lane’s try right at the start of the second half had then sparked hopes of a Blues comeback, only for Nick Frisby and David Tameilau to score two tries in as many minutes for the visitors.
