**Alun Wyn Jones makes a dramatic return to the bench as the British and Irish Lions take on the DHL Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.** The Ospreys lock has completed an extraordinary recovery from a dislocated shoulder in time to reinforce the Lions for their Test series against South Africa. Jones sustained the injury against Japan at Murrayfield on June 26 and was quickly ruled out of the remainder of the tour, only to resume training with Wales this week in the hope of proving his fitness to coach Warren Gatland. Having come through a double session at the Vale Resort on Tuesday, he was given the all clear by medics to rejoin the Lions tour and is now in the squad to face the Stormers as the team aim to respond to Wednesday’s 17-13 defeat to South Africa ‘A’. “We felt that if he was going to be in contention next week then he needed to have a hit-out and prove 100 per cent that he is fit and ready to go. He needs 20 minutes,” Gatland said.
