Kyle Steyn’s try earned Glasgow Warriors a vital success away to La Rochelle last weekend and they will be desperate to follow that up with a second victory over the French team on Saturday.

The first-ever meeting between the teams was a relatively tight affair, but La Rochelle’s form on the road is not as good as their home record, so Glasgow will fancy their chances of making it three wins from four in Europe.

They will have to watch out for Vincent Rattez who has beaten 23 defenders so far this season, the most of any player in the competition. Where the Warriors have shone, however, is in the lineout, with just one lost in their first three matches.

Exeter will be expected to maintain their perfect record at home to Sale, but with the Chiefs still to come to Scotstoun in round five, this is a crucial game for Glasgow to stay in touch.

Leinster v Northampton Saints

Leinster laid down a marker last week as they took everything that Northampton Saints could throw at them before overwhelming the English leaders in a seven-try blitz.

The final scoreline of 43-16 may not tell the whole story in terms of how tight the game was for a half, but Leinster were so much more clinical and got their reward.

They will remember a similar scenario in 2013 when they also scored 40 points at Franklin’s Gardens before being upset by Saints in the return fixture, and the absence of Johnny Sexton through injury will not help their cause.

Still, Leinster are ten from ten in all competitions this season, have depth that is the envy of virtually every team in Europe and have won 14 in a row at home in the competition. If they can make it 15, they will be well-placed to finish as the top seed at the end of the pool stages.
