Disciplinary Update – Tommaso Benvenuti

A Disciplinary Committee will meet today (April 17) in Edinburgh, Scotland to consider the Citing Complaint made against Tommaso Benvenuti (No 13) of Benetton Rugby for an incident which occurred against Munster Rugby on Friday, April 12, 2019.

The complaint refers to an incident involving Munster Rugby No 3 (Stephen Archer) in the 52nd minute of the Guinness PRO14 Round 20 fixture at Stadio Monigo, Treviso.

The player has been reported by the Citing Commissioner in charge for infringement of 9.20 – A player must not make contact with an opponent above the line of the shoulders.

The player was shown a yellow card at the time by referee Ben Whitehouse.

The Player will face a Disciplinary Committee via video conference, the Committee will comprise of Rory Bannerman (Chair), Frank Hadden and Jennifer Rae (All Scotland).
