**At a time of great unknowns and sadness around the world, there have been some glimmers of hope posed by members of the rugby Community. Throughout the five territories of the Guinness PRO14 we have witnessed acts of kindness and goodness that have surpassed expectations and made big changes in small communities when it is needed the most.** A number of Guinness PRO14 clubs have kick-started community outreach initiatives to help the elderly and vulnerable in their localities. Connacht Rugby have rallied their players and coaches to pick up the phones and call the club's season ticket holders over the age of 70 in a bid to boost morale in the west of Ireland. Meanwhile in Wales, Dragons launched their [‘Dragons Deliver’](https://www.dragonsrugby.wales/news/2020/march/calling-all-fans-for-dragons-deliver.html) campaign where supporters of the clubs have been reaching out to the elderly and vulnerable in the community, ensuring they have enough food and supplies to keep them comfortable throughout the lockdown. Similarly in Llanelli, Scarlets have been[ distributing care packages](https://www.pro14.rugby/latest/charity/scarlets-team-up-with-community-clubs-to-deliver-vital-care-packages) to the vulnerable in the community and taking requests for groceries and medicine pick-ups. Down in South Africa, Craig Barry of Toyota Cheetahs, along with charity Be The Difference, took to a settlement near Bloemfontein to give out [food hampers to over 20 families. ](https://www.pro14.rugby/latest/news/toyota-cheetah-craig-barry-helps-to-be-the-difference)The Dinawing informal settlement is home to hundreds of people, the majority of whom suffer from hunger and poverty throughout the year. Be The Difference work tirelessly to ensure that this stress is lifted as often as possible in the community.
