With European competition dominating the agenda this weekend, there will be plenty of time to for Guinness PRO14 Fantasy Rugby managers to hone their ideal XVs ahead of Round 19.

There were seven unmissable clashes in Round 18, with a raft of players racking up Fantasy points at a rate of knots.**

Here’s a look at some of players that earned spots in the Round 18 dream team, marking themselves out as ones to watch.

Dan Evans exemplified a string of excellent individual performances in Round 18 as his standout performance caught the attention.

His four tries single-handedly led the comeback for the Ospreys as they beat the Dragons on Saturday to earn them five points in the league – and a whopping 29 for Evans’ Fantasy owners.

In terms of team efforts however, Cardiff’s four players in the side highlighted their dominance in their 41-17 win at home to rivals Scarlets.

Two tries from Owen Lane and a score apiece from Josh Turnbull and Aled Summerhill earned them spots in the side, while a virtuoso 13-point performance from Gareth Anscombe getting him the fly-half spot.

Elsewhere, Munster’s 31-12 victory over Zebre earns them three players in the Dream Team.

Jeremy Loughman and Rhys Marshall form the lions’ share of the front-row as a try apiece – alongside ten tackles each – earned them both 11 points.

CJ Stander picked up the man-of-the-match award to complete the trio by making his side tick throughout the victory.

Meanwhile, Glasgow Warriors duo Callum Gibbins (11) and Scott Cummings (13) make the side after the Warriors extended their lead at the top of Conference A with a 35-17 win over Isuzu Southern Kings.

A try each – supplemented by a lineout steal for Cummings – gave Glasgow their two spots in the side.

With a series of individual performances dotted around the rest of the Guinness PRO14, it’s worth noting the offensive prowess of Scarlets’ Rob Evans (17), Connacht’s Matt Healy (14), Edinburgh’s Viliame Mata (11) and Benetton’s Dewaldt Duvenage (9), all of whom scored at key times for their sides.

However, it was Rob Lyttle – whose wonderful technical ability earned him a try and a clever assist in Ulster’s victory over Southern Kings – who shone amongst the backs, earning him 16 points in a vintage Fantasy display.

With so much on show, there’s a lot to consider for Fantasy managers going into the next round.
