Scarlets have an unbeaten record to protect as they prepare for the Round Three visit of Zebre Rugby to Llanelli.

The Welsh side have not won three on the spin in the Guinness PRO14 for 12 months but will fancy their chances of putting things right on Saturday, having been defeated only once in their last seven outings at Parc y Scarlets.

Brad Mooar has handed a Championship debut to Taylor Davies at hooker, one of three changes to the XV that won at Glasgow Warriors last time out.

For the Italians, it is just the two changes to the side that were beaten by the Dragons, with Paula Balekana and Ian Nagle stepping into the fold.

Players to watch out for: Steff Evans (Scarlets) and Ian Nagle (Zebre)

Young flyer Evans has been the standout player for Mooar’s men so far this season, notching up a pair of tries and standout displays in wins over the Warriors and Connacht, and will take some stopping down the Zebre flank.

For the Italians, a first start for new skipper Nagle should bring experience and steel to the pack; they will be hoping that his leadership qualities will shine through in south Wales.

Key stat: The two sides have met on 12 previous occasions with the only game not being won by Scarlets ending in a 16-all draw in Parma in October 2013.
