On the weekend of May 25, the Guinness PRO14 takes over Glasgow.

The 2018-19 season comes to a climax in Scotland’s biggest city on Saturday, May 25, with two teams facing off in the Guinness PRO14 Final.

For the very first time, Guinness PRO14’s showpiece event will be held outside of a traditional rugby venue, at the historic 60,000-plus capacity Celtic Park, less than nine miles away from Glasgow Warriors’ Scotstoun home.

For three consecutive years a new record attendance has been set for the Guinness PRO14 Final, with 46,902 in situ to watch Leinster win the title by defeating Scarlets at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium in 2018.

Supporters travelling from Ireland and Northern Ireland have a wide array of travel options available to ensure they get to Glasgow for May 25.

Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are served by frequent direct train services from London, which are easily reached from other towns and cities,

Selected UK operators depart from London King’s Cross and run up the east coast via Peterborough, York and Newcastle to Edinburgh, with some trains continuing on to Glasgow, Aberdeen or Inverness, while there are also routes that run up the west coast from London Euston via Crewe, Preston and Carlisle to Glasgow.

Glasgow and Edinburgh-bound services also originate from the likes of Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bournemouth and Brighton.

For those looking for a more leisurely journey north of the border, overnight sleeper services are available from London Euston, heading to a range of Scottish cities.

By Car

The two main driving routes to Scotland from the south are via the east of England on the A1, or via the west using the M6, A74 (M) and M74.

The A1, which passes by Peterborough, Doncaster, Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed, gives you the option of branching off onto the A68, which takes the hilly but scenic route over the border at Carter Bar.

The M6 route, which goes around Birmingham, between Manchester and Liverpool and on to Carlisle, offers dual-carriageway driving the whole way.

Coach services to Scotland run routes to Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Perth.
